July (Summer) Beauty Favourites

Hello guys! How have you been? Again, I'm so sorry for the lack of post on my blog. For many reasons, I didn't have time to blog as much as I wanted to but hopefully August will be a better blogging month for me. I want to organize things for my blog before I start another semester in September.

For today's post, I want to share my make-up favourites of the summer or for the month of July. These products are everyday staples for me. I don't really wear that much make-up during the warmer seasons because I'm afraid my make-up would melt but these products are quite sweat proof. Without further  ado, let's talk why I love them!

L'oreal True Match Lumi Cushion foundation- During the summer months, I like to use foundations that are lightweight and the L'oreal's Cushion foundation fits the bill. The coverage is very light, it looks like you don't have anything on your face but it covers some skin imperfections. I got a darker shade but it's not too obvious. The downside? This foundation is so expensive for a drugstore!

Maybelline's Matte+Poreless powder in Natural Beige. Since the cushion foundation has a really luminous finish, I like to use a mattifying powder to tone it down a little bit. I love using Maybelline's Matte+Poreless powder in natural beige. It really pairs well with the cushion powder. I don't have an oily skin but my face gets a little oily around the t-zone area in the late afternoon or at night, and I find that this powder helps avoid that shiny look on my face throughout the day. This powder is finely milled! I'm really surprised how this powder from a drugstore works so great.

Smashbox  Primer Water - I love using this to set my make-up. It also helps my foundation and powder last longer! It's a really nice little boost of moisture to the skin especially for the summer when you don't want to wear thick creams or lotion on your face.

NYX HD Concealer - I've heard so many good things about this concealer and I'm glad I bought this because it is such a good product. Since I'm using a lightweight base this summer, it does not really cover acne scars or skin pigmentation and this concealer does the job. I also use this on my dark circles and it works just fine.

Covergirl Supersizer Mascara- I didn't like this mascara at first but it's now one of my favourite mascaras of all time. The thing about this mascara is that it works better after few uses. In other words, it's better when it becomes a little dry.

Becca Highlighter in Opal. Hands down my favourite highlighter after MAC's soft and gentle! It's such a beautiful highlighter and I highly recommend its soft and smooth formula. If you have a medium skin tone, this is the perfect highlighter for you. I just loooveee this!

Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks in Lolita I and II - I love these liquid lipsticks because they are not drying and they last so long on the lips. I wear Lolita II more than Lolita I just because I prefer something brighter for the summer. I'm sure I'll wear Lolita I more when fall arrives.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm - So, I jumped into  the bandwagon and bought myself some products from NYX. A haul wouldn't be complete if you don't try their Soft Matte Lip Creams. Right? Stockholm is a really nice pinky nude shade that would look nice on everyone. The formula is nice but it doesn't really last long. I still love it regardless because the prices of these lip creams are easy on the wallet.

These are the products I have been loving! A mix of high end and drugstore products! What are your favourite products last month? Did you guys discover something new?
