Beauty | Mac & Sephora Haul

make-up summer haul, becca opal, lolita lipstick, smashbox primerAs I mentioned on my previous post, it's not like I don't like make-up anymore that I don't really talk about them often on the blog. I just want my page to have more diversity, not only because there are other things I would like to share on the blog, moreover,  I know that I wouldn't be able to keep up with other beauty bloggers who can splurge on make-up all the time. Frankly, I still consider my consumption of make-up to be quite excessive. After this post, I have more hauls to share as I also bought some beauty products from the drugstore. I have some new favorites makeups from NYX!

Without further ado, I want to share my hauls from Mac and Sephora.

Becca opal review, becca opal, best highlighter

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in "Opal". I just bought this last week and I really had a hard time making a decision about which highlighter to buy from Becca. I was considering "Opal, Moonstone and Champagne Pop". I choose Opal as it seems to be the best one that suits my skin tone. Moonstone was a little too light for me. I was going to go for "Champagne Pop" and almost bought the limited edition face palette ( blushes and higlighthers included) from Jacklyn Hill and Becca's collaboration but I heard that the quality from the palette is not the same as the one in the single pan.  I don't need to buy more blushes as I have so many varieties of blushes from MAC and Tarte that I would feel so guilty buying more. I like "Champagne Pop" too and I'm sure I would add it on my make-up collection someday unless there's going to be another "hyped" highlighter product in the market I would be attracted to buy. Anyway, Opal is amazing and finally I get why makeup enthusiasts are crazy about this product.

Smashbox primer, primer water, smashbox primer review

Make-up forever HD Microfinish Powder. I bought this because I wanted a new setting powder and the mini size has a reasonable price. I'm not too sure if I like this product as I don't really use it often and I don't know what's the best brush to use with it. However, with those times I used this powder on my face, I noticed that my skin looks "extra" smooth.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, Pore Minimizing. I'm a late bloomer when it comes to primer. I thought it was a "pointless product". And since I'm already wearing a moisturizer, concealer and foundation, adding another product on my skin would be too much. I don't know what gotten to me that day that I bought one. I choose the pore minimizing primer because my pores around nose and cheek areas are noticeable. This primer blurs them and it also makes my skin smooth. I only need to use a little amount of product on my cheeks and t-zone areas to get the results I need, therefore, it does not feel like I've caked my face with too much products.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water. This reminds me of Mac's Fix+ spray which I really liked in the past.  It really adds something extra on your make-up, everything seems to look better after spraying it on the face. I stopped buying it because I wanted to save money and I believed that I could still have a nice makeup look without the spray. This primer water provides the same effect if not even better. I'm glad I bought this but I'm not sure if I would splurge on a big bottle, I was just feeling spendy when I added this on my basket that day.

Mac chili, mac chili review, chili lipstick

Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita. I bought this in spring which was few months ago and I wish I bought Lolita 2 or Bow n Arrow instead. I like "Lolita", but I  think it's a bit too dark to wear this summer. I'm sure I'll enjoy wearing this in fall, we'll see. The formula is smooth and long lasting.

Mac lipstick in Chili. This is a  really nice red with some orange hint lipstick. It would be the perfect autumn lipstick but could also be worn any season. It has a matte formula but not as drying as the "Russian Red". I'll talk about this lipstick more in the fall since I don't really wear it this summer. This lipstick has been on my wishlist for a long time and I just want to finally buy it.  I admit it was an impulse buy when I passed by the Mac store, I don't know but my love for Mac products kind of diminished. Although, I just saw this post of Cindy and it makes me want to go visit a store again.

Et voila! These are my latest higher-end makeup buys. I am going to try to be more careful buying products since I don't want to accumulate too much. Is anyone of you interested of approaching a minimalist lifstyle on make-up? Let me know if you would like an in depth review of any of these!

Talk to you on my next post. :D
