Goals for the summer

Hi guys! Did you notice my new layout? Shout-out to Eve of Design by Fearne, thanks for helping me with my blog's layout.  I'm still working on some features but hopefully it will be all set by the end of the week as I get back into blogging. 

Anyway, for the main topic of this post. I want to share my goals for the summer. GOALS! Don't you get excited when you hear that word?  It's one of my favorite motivating words. I wanted to come up with some realistic objectives I could achieve or accomplish this warm season. 


Start a journal.
This is something I've always wanted to do but I don't know how to start. I like to squirrel away my thoughts in random notebooks but I was never consistent. This habit of mine makes things unorganized and therefore I became uninspired. I also have a peculiarity of not using the beautiful journals I bought in the past because I was afraid to ruin them. :-( I don't know how I'm going to write my thoughts on them in a structured way. But what the heck, if I keep of delaying this, I won't be able to use these beautiful notebooks and they will be left in a corner of my room covered with dust.

Read more books
I've read quiet a few book for the last months and I'm so proud of myself for that. I feel so accomplished whenever I finish a book and I want to continue doing this hobby until the end of the summer. I want to take advantage of the days where I don't have school work to do. Books I've read are "Me before you", "Big Magic", "The life the life changing magic of tidying up", "Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone", "All the bright places" , Girl on the train and many more. All the books I've read are highly recommended. 


Go see the lavender and sunflower farms. 
WS (my significant other ^_^) and I went to Europe last year but unfortunately there wouldn't be an out of the country trip for us this summer. He's currently on a work leave right now to finish grad school but he also needs to study for the upcoming CPA exam in September. He will have to go back to work right after his exam and it will be a busy season for him. :( I'm so proud of this man. Last year, he passed the CFA level 3 exam, the fruit of his hard work and having a supportive girlfriend (just kidding). Anyway, I've convinced him to drive me to these wonderful farms this summer. P.S. I don't have my license (😄). Hopefully, we'll also have the chance to visit our friends in Quebec City.
My family is also planning to visit our relatives in Toronto, so that is also something exciting I look forward to this summer.


Get my driver's license
I need to get my official driver's licence! It's long overdue as I've had my learner's permit for so many years now. I'm really sad that I took this for granted, I've failed the actual driving exam twice and I kind of gave up after. My younger sister passed hers in April and she has been enjoying driving ever since. Life becomes more convenient when you drive.  


Practice Yoga at least three times a week.
I plan to buy a new mat this week so that I can do yoga more often. The one I have at home is so dirty because my younger brother used it as his painting canvas. He used to draw and color everything he touches in the house, thank goodness he is turning seven years old and he is becoming a more mindful little human being.  Speaking of yoga, my best-friend Angela is really inspiring me to improve my wellness. I'm so lucky to have a friend like her who is so deep and insightful! ^_^


Learn to Do Push-Ups.
Oh my gosh guys, don't tell me I'm the only one who does not know how to do push-ups. Last weekend, my boyfriend challenged me to do some push-ups and I really can't do it properly. I'm not sure if it's simply because I have terribly weak muscles or something else. Fingers crossed that I become a stronger person.


Become more of a morning person and get enough sleep everyday
I could be considered as a morning person as I never slept past nine in the morning. Compared to people that I know, I wake up early. BUT I do like to do things at night, I sleep late procrastinating and it's not really something I would love to be continuously part of my lifestyle. This needs to change ASAP. 


These are my "goals" for now. I would add more if I could think of something interesting. I would love to know what you guys are up to this summer?
