Hi guys! This is going to be another travel post from my Paris trip. I'll be sharing about my travel experiences from the beautiful city of Lisbon soon! Hope these posts do not bore you, I really want to share our photographs from our travels on my blog.
Place des Vosges which was originally known as Place Royale is not really in the spotlight of tourism in Paris but I think it's such a serene place to hang around. A charming and historical architectural gem in the district of Le Marais. This idyllic little square is the perfect getaway from the maddening crowd in Paris. After visiting the Bastille market, which I enjoyed visiting because they were selling so any fresh flowers, we headed to Place des Vosges to relax. It was quiet a romantic place to enjoy with your partner as you can have a nice picnic near the fountain.
Although the park is not as big as the other popular parks in Paris, Place des Vosges is elegant and beautiful !You will be amazed by the beautiful architecture of this square. The arcades and buildings that surround the place are so symmetrical. You'll find a plethora of art galleries, cafes and restaurants. A great place to feel like a Parisian as you can mingle with the locals.
Place des Vosges was built to house royalty and aristocratic courtiers, the lovely brick building enclosed what is used to be a courtyard. Don't miss the Maison de Victor Hugo which is free of charge. If you're not familiar with this man of history, he is one of the greatest and best-known French writers. Some of his famous works are The Hunchback of Notre-Dame and Les Misérables. His apartment is not huge but personal and inspiring.
Voila, here's another place to enjoy while in Paris. Place des Vosges is a very tranquil tourist attraction in the city. It was a pure delight to visit!
