Fresh Skincare Treasures

Hi guys! Are you done with  your Christmas shopping yet? Do you wait last minute to do your shopping like me? It's really hard to think of what to give to the people special to you without overwhelming your wallet. Anyway, if you have someone who's into skincare, here is Fresh's Skincare Treasure to your rescue.

Facial Oils ( Jojoba and Vitamin E Oil) from Eden Semilla

I started using facial oils on my face few years ago and I really like them. I love using oils on my face especially during the colder months when my skin becomes drier because of the freezing weather. I had the chance to try some facial oils from Eden's Semilla. In my recent post, you know that I promised myself that I will take good care of my skin  consistency! They key on having a great skin is consistency. I like trying skin care products but I have the habit of being lazy at night and forget about them. In addition to my facial masks, I've been trying products that would work on my skin. These two facial oils (Vitamin E and Jojoba)  came at the perfect time! These are multi-purpose oils, which means they can be used not just as facial oil. You can use them for your hair and nails as well. Awesome right? I shared these products to my mom and she loves them!

My current favourite masks.

Few months ago, I was shopping at Sephora for some make-up products. I was looking for something I can put on my face when I'm in a rush.  I wanted to try this new powder foundation from Bare Minerals. During that time, I thought my skin was pretty good. It was not flawless but I was acne free. A make-up consultant at Sephora helped me with the powder and told me that I really need to exfoliate my skin. Hahaha The problem about my skin was its dullness and it really needed some exfoliation. The powder didn't look nice on me because my face had patches of dead skin. I was aware that my skin was dull but I thought it was only because I've been sleeping late almost every night and maybe a good night sleep will fix it all.

My current favourite foundations from the drugstore.

I wanted to share these products with you guys because they're amazing. Lately, my skin has been really good to me that I don't really need to wear foundation, concealer and powder are good enough. But on days when I want to have a more flawless looking skin, I rely on these foundations.

A recap! I'm back (again)

Hi guys!  I finally had the chance to sit down and write something. As I like to think, life has been quite busy lately. Isn't it the best excuse of bloggers when they suddenly take a hiatus from blogging? Anyway, I go to school and work during the weekdays and my weekends are usually the days I spend time with my family. I also spend time with my boyfriend who is really busy during the week at work, therefore, weekends are our quality time.

Use less. Live more

Source: Pinterest

Hi guys, I said I'm going to be more active on the blog but there is a reason why I have not posted anything. I am in the process of organizing and decluttering things I own. Truthfully, I don't think I own a lot of stuffs in comparison to others. But I really want to remove unnecessary things.  In other words, just like what Marie Kondo stated from her book of The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, "Get rid of things that do not spark joy".

La Maison Lavande

One fact about me: I love flowers with all my heart. One of my childhood "dreams" was to open a flower shop.
We recently visited a lavender field called "Maison Lavande" which is around 40 minutes drive from Montreal. Thanks to my  who is always willing to do things with me despite his busy schedule.

The field was not comparable to those magnificent lavender farms you would see in Provence but it was also a delightful place to visit. Funny how my boyfriend was expecting the place to smell like lavenders but unfortunately, it didn't. Maybe there was not enough lavenders around to have an aromatic scent on the field.

July (Summer) Beauty Favourites

Hello guys! How have you been? Again, I'm so sorry for the lack of post on my blog. For many reasons, I didn't have time to blog as much as I wanted to but hopefully August will be a better blogging month for me. I want to organize things for my blog before I start another semester in September.

The Best of Sintra: The mystical Quinta da Regaleira

Enchanting, mysterious and romantic are the words I immediately think when describing this place. If you're planning to visit Sintra someday, this is a must place to go. The gothic residence is beautiful itself but the gardens are what you will enjoy the most because there are lots of things to see. There are underground grottos, little towers to climb and a labyrinth of connecting passages that W and I explored. The former owners of this estate lived in such a magical place! This area is the perfect location to shoot a fairytale movie or even a "horror" movie as it also has a bit of eerie feel (lol).

The Magical Town of Sintra

The most memorable part of our Europe trip was our day trip to Sintra, Portugal. This town is so magical and I would really love to visit this place again in the future. It was just breathtakingly beautiful and a day was not enough to cover all the lovely places you can find in this town. Ideally, I think two days should be spent exploring Sintra. We were able to visit two castles ( Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle) and a gothic mansion (Quinta da Regaleira). I'm going to write separate posts to show the beauty of each places we visited in this little town.

Beauty | Mac & Sephora Haul

make-up summer haul, becca opal, lolita lipstick, smashbox primerAs I mentioned on my previous post, it's not like I don't like make-up anymore that I don't really talk about them often on the blog. I just want my page to have more diversity, not only because there are other things I would like to share on the blog, moreover,  I know that I wouldn't be able to keep up with other beauty bloggers who can splurge on make-up all the time. Frankly, I still consider my consumption of make-up to be quite excessive. After this post, I have more hauls to share as I also bought some beauty products from the drugstore. I have some new favorites makeups from NYX!

Without further ado, I want to share my hauls from Mac and Sephora.

Goals for the summer

Summer goals, lifestyle blog
Hi guys! Did you notice my new layout? Shout-out to Eve of Design by Fearne, thanks for helping me with my blog's layout.  I'm still working on some features but hopefully it will be all set by the end of the week as I get back into blogging.

Anyway, for the main topic of this post. I want to share my goals for the summer. GOALS! Don't you get excited when you hear that word?  It's one of my favorite motivating words. I wanted to come up with some realistic objectives I could achieve or accomplish this warm season.

Back to blogging!

Hi guys! If you're reading this, thank you so much! This means you're still following A whole lot of serendipity. I'm not really sure how to start blogging again after a long hiatus but I guess I can start by writing a 'welcome back to blogging' sort of post. Isn't it ironic that one of the last thing I wrote on the blog was about being creative? I'm not going to make many excuses about my absence because I was simply being lazy and unmotivated. But here I am trying to get back into blogging. Lately, I find it really hard to write a complete post for my blog. Do you have a habit of starting projects, but not finishing them? That is exactly how I am treating my blog and it's really sad because it was one of those things that made me happy and felt productive.

Canadian Tulip Festival in Ottawa

Hi guys! It has been a while since the last time I posted something on the blog. My apologies! I was not planning to be back anytime soon but I want to share our recent trip to Ottawa to see our very own Tulips Festival in Canada! This celebration runs from May 12 to May 23 every year during the spring, so if you live near Ottawa or visiting Canada around this time, don't miss it! We went yesterday afternoon to see these beautiful tulips. It's not the first time we saw the festival but it has been many years since the last time. We were so thankful of the weather since it was first predicted that it would be a rainy day. It did pour with rain but only for a short amount of time, the rest of the day was nice.

What I learned from BIG MAGIC on being creative

Hi! First of all, I as always do, I want to apologize for the lack of posts on my blog. Lately, I've been focusing on school and reading books. One of the books I recently read is "Big Magic", written by Elizabeth Gilbert, the author of one of the most popular books in town, "Eat, Pray and Love". I really like to share some wisdom I learned from this book. It would be useful not just for writers as well as for bloggers and others who seek creativity. It's about creative living that speaks to my heart. BIG MAGIC resonated with my creativity and here are five of the many significant ideas and concepts that mirror my own.

Exploring Belem: Belem Tower

Hi guys, hope you all had a nice weekend! Today's another travel post on the blog. Whenever I look at our pictures from our trip, it appears to me that we really had the best time in Portugal. It's such a wonderful country! You should definitely add it into your travel bucket list! The places we visited were incredible.I'm dreaming of visiting other places in the country such as Porto and the beautiful beaches in Algarve, I heard these regions are breathtaking.

Exploring Belem: Portugal's Age of Discovery

We had such a beautiful weather on our day trip to Belem, the sky was so blue. After visiting the Monastery of St. Jeronimos, lunch at some random restaurant on the street and having the best custard tart in Lisbon at a quiet park, we went to see the famous Age of Exploration monuments which are just a walking distance from Pasteis de Belem. Belem's tourist attractions are so close to each other and because the weather during the time of our visit was really nice, walking outside was just delightful.

Pastéis de Belém: The best Portuguese custard tarts!

Every travel blog I read states that "A visit to Lisbon is not complete without a visit to Pastéis de Belém." And they are right, I had the best custard tart of my entire life at this bakery! Just like what others expressed, I would go as far as to say you shouldn't go to Lisbon without trying it. By the way, they call these tarts "pasteis de nata" and they are so delicious, I dare say that they are even more mouthwatering than the pastries I had at Angelina, Paris. I'm looking for a place here in Montreal that makes these kind of tarts but sadly, I haven't found one yet.

Day trip to Belem: Visiting the Monastery of St. Jeronimos

So, I thought I could possibly write an entire post about our trip to Belém but I think it's better to divide it into different parts just like what I did about our trip to Versailles. I'm the type of reader who likes to see more pictures on travel blogs because it inspires me. So please allow me to share more pictures! :D Now let's talk about this day trip. Belém is Lisbon's most monumental and historical area, therefore it's a must when visiting the capital. In order to get here, we took the tram 15 from downtown Lisbon which takes around 20-25 minutes if I remember correctly. We started our trip to Belém by visiting this famous old monastery called Mosteiro dos Jerónimos in Portuguese.

The Beautiful City of Lisbon

Lisbon, Portugal, beautiful Lisbon, Travel Lisbon, Lisbon trip

Lisbon was definitely the most enjoyable part of our European Trip. Don't get me wrong, I love Paris so much. I just feel like I didn't fully enjoy it because we only had 4 1/2 days there while it's a BIG CITY!  We spent a total of 5 1/2 days in Lisbon including some wonderful day trips to Belem, Cascais and Sintra, Portugal. I can't wait to share about these towns later on the blog. In comparison, we were more relax in Lisbon compared with the time we spent in Paris. Just like a first time tourist or a traveler, I wanted to see many things in the beautiful city of love hence we were always on the go, we were always on our feet exploring. Next time I go to Paris, it will be a more pleasant trip. :)

Anyway, here's some pictures from the charming Lisbon. I don't hear or read many things about the city and it's a shame because I think it's so UNDERRATED! At first, it wasn't really a city I look forward to visit  because I'm so basic sometimes, I want to see the popular places first hehe. It was chosen by my bf because he never had the chance to visit a place in Portugal yet. Thanks a lot to my lovveee! It was such a wonderful trip, Lisbon is such a mesmerizing place.

There is just something about this city that is so endearing, maybe because the people are extremely friendly ( if you're from Portugal and reading this, "MUITO OBRIGADO") and oh the food is so great! It's kind of a hippie city in Europe and I love it so much. It's so different from cities like London and Paris. I think the most gorgeous pictures of our travel are from Lisbon! You'll see why on my next posts about this idyllic city of Portugal. I'm so in love with this city!

Demeter Foolproof Scent Blending

Demeter perfume review

I was lucky to try these fragrances when CBB started a campaign with Demeter Fragrance Library Company. I always see reviews of these perfumes from other Canadian bloggers and I'm really curious how they smell like. The packaging is so simple but eye catching. What's interesting is that they have so many varieties of perfumes. They have a huge collection of floral and sweet scents and if you visit their website, you'll find the oddest and most unique perfumes out there. There's one that is called "DIRT'', hahaha sounds weird eh? I wonder how that one would smell like.

A little bit of luxury

Best Lip Products
Hello! Today, I'm sharing the recent additions on my beauty stash! Honestly, my beauty stash has been boring lately. I'm giving some love to products that I have right now before buying new ones. That being said, I'm always open to receiving beauty gifts! Hehe These two lovely products have been on my wishlist for quite some time now and I'm so happy that I finally have these in my beauty collection. By the way, before we continue to the main topic, I want to take this chance thank people who read and leave comments on my blog. I'm sorry if I couldn't reply on some comments because I'm busy with school. Luckily, my blog wont' be so quiet because I've prepared some blog posts to share on the blog for the next coming weeks. Anyway, without further ado, let's talk about these wonderful new treats!

A Parisian experience: Angelina

Visiting Angelina for their famous hot chocolate called “L’Africain” was one of the things I had to do in Paris. Okay, to be honest, I have an unending list of things to do in Paris. PARREEE! I'll be back for you! Anyway, back to the main topic, Angelina was a delightful experience we did in Paris...ahhh maybe just me! lol  My boyfriend does not like sweets, so I had to drag him to eat desserts with me at this place. :D It was apparently Audrey Hepburn's favorite cafe, therefore, therefore it's a must whilst in Paris! :D

Introducing OGX Beauty New Line of Products

Last week, I attended a beauty event in Montreal. It was my first time attending a media event and it was quite a fun experience! OGX Beauty introduced us their brand new 2016 product innovations and it was really exciting to know more about them. I love their hair products so much that I was really delighted to discover their new collection. One of my favourite shampoos is their Sea Mineral Moisture. I've also tried their coconut conditioner before and it was also amazing.

Healthier Hair with Lush Dry Shampoo

The title is a bit confusing, isn't it? Let me explain my story. (sounds so serious, lol) I have found the one! Can you feel my excitement guys? The backstory behind this? I wash my hair everyday! I know what you're thinking, "You're damaging your hair, lady!". I know, I know......Anyway, I've found a hair savior! Here comes *drumroll* "Lush No Drought dry shampoo"! Now, I can manage not to wash my hair forever! Just kidding. :D

Paris Trip: Palais-Royal

Palais Royal
Does this place look familiar? When we were in Paris, we didn't plan to go see this old palace. But on our way to the Louvre, we stumbled upon Palais Royal across Rue de Rivoli. I've seen so many pictures of this place before, but I wasn't really eager to see it. I'm really glad we found this place by accident, a total serendipity indeed!

It's a beautiful place hidden in the center of the city. The magnificent building was the residence of the late Cardinal Richelieu. The buildings are now being used by Constitutional Council and the Ministry of Culture as well as the National Library. The palace was surrounded by a beautiful garden that nicely complimented the buildings around. There are some interesting sculpture installation inside the garden and the trees were lined up orderly which makes the park really charming.

The launch of V19.69 Italia Jewelry

Hi lovelies! I recently got contacted by Delmar Jewelers and I got to pick a pair of earrings to share on my blog. I picked up this sterling silver with gold from their latest jewelry line V19.69 Italia . The style is called "moonlight" and I really like it. It's pretty and has an understated elegance. You can dress up a casual outfit with these pretty earrings. Of course, you can also wear them with your favorite dress for an evening date for a more sophisticated look. I can't usually wear any kind of earrings on my ears for a long time because I tend to have some allergic reaction but this earrings were totally fine, I can wear them all day long. It's light and very comfortable to wear.

January Favourites!

Hi guys! The month of January went by so fast, it's crazy! I didn't even post anything about New Year on this blog yet. There are many things I want to talk about but I find it difficult to create things. I need more blogging props but I don't know where to start. I also don't have a lot of time because I'm busy with school and also I want to dedicate more of my free time into reading books and improving some aspects of my life. I don't want my blog to be a source of stress, I made it to be my creative outlet. So for now, I decided to just have fun with this little internet space of mine and just post things whenever I can. Today, I want to share my January Favourites, the things I love so much from last month!

Parisians' Beauty Secrets avec NUXE

Nuxe beauty products
Hello guys! I'm back with beauty product reviews! Sorry if the blog has been all about travels lately. I love beauty products but one of my resolutions this year is to be more selective in buying them. Last Christmas, I was delighted when I received this set as a gift from my boyfriend's aunt. It was my first time trying things from NUXE, a French brand that is popular  for their Rêve de Miel lip balm! I love that this set got me to try some of their products!

Paris Trip: Place des Vosges (Place Royale)

Paris Trip, Place des Vosges
Hi guys! This is going to be another travel post from my Paris trip. I'll be sharing about my travel experiences from the beautiful city of Lisbon soon! Hope these posts do not bore you, I really want to share our photographs from our travels on my blog.

Place des Vosges  which was originally known as Place Royale is not really in the spotlight of tourism in Paris but I think it's such a serene place to hang aroundA charming and historical architectural gem in the district of Le Marais. This idyllic little square is the perfect getaway from the maddening crowd in Paris. After visiting the Bastille market, which I enjoyed visiting because they were selling so any fresh flowers, we headed to Place des Vosges to relax. It was quiet a romantic place to enjoy with your partner as you can have a nice picnic near the fountain.

Paris Trip: Luxembourg and Tuileries Gardens

Paris does not only offer visitors shopping centers and museums. Inspired by Parisian culture, the parks are some of the best places you can visit in Paris. Tuileries and Luxembourg gardens are arguably some of the biggest and most beautiful parks in Paris that you must visit. They are oasis in the midst of a bustling city life filled with incredible scenery. In these gardens, you'll find beautiful fountains, man-made lakes, lovely tree lined paths, and blooming flowers that are always enchanting to see.

Notre Dame Cathedral and Latin Quarter

Notre-Dame Paris

A must see building in Paris is the Notre Dame Cathedral. The church is truly remarkable because of its amazing architecture and history. I was in awe when I first saw it, I've seen many churches before but nothing compares to the Gothic architecture of this building. Take note: I haven't seen Basílica de la Sagrada Família in Barcelona. Notre-Dame was beautifully structured and it took many years of hard work and delicate planning for it to be completed. The church is really impressive inside and outside. It may not be the largest or as large as the other cathedrals in the world but it surely is one of the most beautiful sacred place you can visit.
