Fall is the season for darker shade lipsticks! It's the time of the year when deep berry, mauve and red lipsticks shades are celebrated. To my delight, someone from a PR company asked me if I would like a product to sample from Arbonne's Makeup Fall collection. And because I am a make-up lover, I said yes and for your information, this is not sponsored post nor they asked me to review these products on my blog. They sent me a lipstick and a lip gloss while I was only expecting just one product. Anyway, without further ado, here are my thoughts about these lip makeups:
Smoothed Over Lipstick in the shade "Dahlia" ($28 CAD) - First of all, this lipstick smells so good! I love the vanilla scent that MAC lipsticks have but I love the fruity smell of this lipstick more. I am sensitive to smell and this did not irritate my nose. This lipstick is very pigmented and the shade "Dahlia" is such a pretty mauve color that has won me over, I believe I don't have this type of shade in my lipstick collection. The formula is creamy and smooth, therefore it glides on nicely when being applied on the lips. Unlike other lipstick, this won't dry out your lips, in fact it feels moisturizing. I still suggest to use some lip balm on just like with other lipsticks. If longevity is your concern, this might not be for you. It does not really last long, I get around 3-4 hours of wear.
Glossed Over Lip Gloss in the shade "Anise" (24$CAD) - Now, I'm not the best judge when it comes to lip gloss as I don't own many. But I'll try to describe this product the best I could. The scent is quite nice too and the shade they sent me is so pretty! Just like the lipstick, it is highly pigmented. This lip gloss is very easy to apply because of the brush tip applicator. The formula is a little sticky but once it's on your lips, it doesn't feel heavy. I think it makes lips look fuller and hydrated. I was also surprised by its longevity, it last pretty long for a lip gloss. I simply love it!

Overall, I'm happy with these lip products. While it's not something I particularly look for in a brand, it's nice to know that Arbonne's products are vegan and safe. These are expensive but most high-end vegan make-ups are around the same price. Have you tried any of their products before?
Disclaimer: These are PR sample sent for consideration. The company sent me these products without asking anything in return. I love them and I thought they deserved to be featured on my blog. All opinions are honest and are my own.
