Confessions of a New Blogger

First of all, I want to thank you for following my blog. I've reached more than 100 followers on Bloglovin! Yayy!  Thank you so much guys, it means so much to me that some people are actually reading my blog. :) I hope you really do! *wink wink It has been 6 months since I started my own little space online. The big question: Do I love blogging?  I do! I do! I absolutely love it but I learned that it is not something so simple like what others think, it's something that needs more effort in order create something on the blog. So today, I thought it would be nice to share you some of the things I do or think as a new blogger.

I find it difficult to think of titles for my posts. I apologize for the lack of excitement when it comes to my titles. Most of the time, I just couldn't think of something original and I always end up having generic headlines. :(

Sometimes, I have a topic I want to talk about but I'm not sure how I'm going to write about it.  If there is one difficult thing I find about blogging, it's the writing part. I am not a writer, I'm not very good in writingCe n'est pas mon fort! Hence, I took a program in university that is not related to arts and literature where they do a lot of writing, I can attest to this because some of my friends are in these respective programs. I do believe that you can improve in this craft, it will come with experience! Just keep on editing! lol

Google is my online best-friend! No kidding, I love you "Google", you're the best thing in the internet world! If my "google" friend is not around,  I would be so repetitive with my words, I am glad that I can find alternatives to some words and make it seem that I have a pretty good vocabulary. And of course, where else would I find information about a topic when I need it?

I take so many pictures for that "one" perfect photo. I'm pretty sure, I'm not the only one! Sometimes, I take too many photos and I end up not using any of them because I don't find them to be the "one". I'm against using others' photographs for my blog (except when there's something I need to show for inspirations), I believe that bloggers could make something on their own. It might not be as nice but your blog becomes more personal. The picture above? I took more than 30 pictures of it and pick the best one in my opinion and then onto the next step is editing, which is also quite a pain to do!

I have a love/hate relationship with Photoshop. I hate it because I'm still unfamiliar using it. But I love that it helps me make my blogging pictures look presentable. My photos are not consistent not only because my photography skill is still subpar but also because I use different techniques in Photoshop. Hopefully, someday, I'll have these amazing photographs! :D

I worry about what others think and I'm a little embarrassed that people I know personally knows about my blog. At first, it was only my family and my boyfriend who knew about my blog. I didn't wan't anyone I know in person to find out about it because I worry about what they would think. But I thought to myself, it's something that I love and I should be proud of it! I asked my boyfriend many times if my blog is vapid because I talk about make-up and thankfully, he doesn't think so. He thinks that it's okay to share things about beauty and make-up for fun and as a hobby. He also suggested to talk about other things to make my blog more interesting. Anyway, I knew ever since in the beginning that I wouldn't just talk about make-up. I wanted to share my other interests (that's why I called my blog "A whole lot of Serendipity") and hopefully, you guys are okay with that.

Et voilà! I hope some bloggers could relate with these things. I love reading your blogs and you guys are awesome! Again, thank you for visiting my blog.
