A new lipstick in my stash is this Make-up Forever Rouge Artist Natural Moisturizing Soft Shine Lipstick in N10 ($23CAD) My boyfriend and I sometimes have these silly just for fun "bets" or random trivia questions and who ever wins will get a price. It's kind of a win win situation in my part because the only thing he asks as a reward is for me not to be "moody" for a week or so ( I'll be moody and can't help it anyway hehe... girls will be girls right?), while I usually ask for something fun. I sweetly asked him to buy me a lipstick as a price. I was going to get another MAC lipstick (I love MAC lipsticks!) but I thought of trying one from a different brand.
So, I dragged my boyfriend to Sephora to finally pick up my "price". If only you can see the look of horror on his face (imagine a constipated face hahah) whenever he accompanies me in that store. According to him, he can't stand the smell of chemicals. Anyway, I decided to go for this Make-up Forever lipstick. Jen from "Clothesencounters" in Youtube seems to really like Make-up Forever lipsticks!
On the the lipstick:
Formula: This lipstick has a creamy hydrating formula. It reminds me of Revlon's lip butters but better. It does not really last long on the lips but that's okay for me. I don't mind re-applying this lipstick because it doesn't dry out my lips. Applying it is such an easy task as it glides on smoothly on the lips. This lipstick has a slight scent, it doesn't really bother me but I would have preferred an odorless cosmetic.
Color: It's quite pigmented that one swipe on the lips is enough to get the color and I love that it doesn't settle in the lip lines. This lipstick is called N10 which is describe as "Iridescent Copper Pink". Personally, I think this lipstick looks like medium pink color with a hint of coral on my lips (my lips are naturally quite dark/pigmented). Another "my lips but better" lipstick for me, it could also pass as a subtle pinky nude colour.
Packaging: There's nothing really special about the packaging. I would say that I like MAC's lipsticks packaging more as they feel sturdier but this has definitely better packaging when it comes to durability than drugstore lipsticks.
