A Summer Look

Hi guys, how's your summer so far? The weather here in Montreal is quite moody. It was cold and raining all day yesterday. Oh summer, where art thou? Anyway, when the sun is out and shining bright, I like to have a subtle eye make-up with a bright lipstick.

Here's the breakdown of the products I use to create this look:

For a natural looking base, I love using L'oreal's True Match foundation in W3. I really like the satin finish of this foundation, one of the best drugstore foundations out there in my opinion. Josie Maran's Enlightment Veil which I reviewed "here" is my current favourite highlighter, it adds such a natural glow on my face, I actually also used it on my eyes' inner corners. And of course, my "no-brainer" blush that goes with everything is "Mac's warm soul", a gorgeous peachy bronze shade.

I use Maybelline's  Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner to line my eyes. I'm not really particularly in love with this eyeliner but it works just alright, hope I can find a better liquid eyeliner. Next is my mascara, I didn't really want to include this product because my lashes are literally invisible on my photo above but it was on the picture so I might as well talk about it here. I use Make-up Forever Smoky Extravagant Mascara for my non-existent eyelashes (my eyelashes are really thin so don't blame the mascara, it probably does a better job on some people lol).  If you have any recommendation for a good eyeliner and a mascara, please leave in your comment below :). I used my Inglot eyeshadow palette to add some colors on my eyelids. For this look, I applied two different eyeshadows, #406 (a gorgeous shimmery bronze shade) and #357 (a taupe brown eyeshadow with a matte finish). I highly recommend Inglot's eyeshadows, the quality of all the ones I have on this pallete is terrific! These eye shadows are so pigmented and easy to blend.

Last but not the least, "Impassioned" lipstick by Mac is one of my favourite lipstick for the summer. It's a bright coral pink shade that can be tone down by blotting. It has an amplified finish and just like most of the lipsticks with this formula from MAC, it's very pigmented and creamy. Just make sure to exfoliate your lips as it tends to accentuate the flakiness.

Mac's Warm Soul blush

Do you use any of these products? What are your favourites during the summer?
