Say hello to palette Tartelette!

Hello again! I apologize for the lack of posts these past few weeks but life has been kind of hectic. I'm excited that I can finally share my recent make-up purchase which I already mentioned on my previous post. Let's give a round of applause to the Tarte's Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette! I saw this palette at Sephora  around first week of February but I didn't really pay much attention into it because I was eagerly waiting for the Nars' NARSissist Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow Palette. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the Nars' palette. I didn't really like the color selection of eyeshadows in the palette and I wasn't ready to pay 90$ for something I'm not completely crazy about. My attention then gravitated towards the Tarte eyeshadow palette. Luckily, they still had few left when I went back to buy it in the store. This is a limited edition, so hurry up and grab yourself one if you find this up right your alley.

Now, let's talk about the awesomeness of this newly acquired possession of mine. By the way, I love the name of this palette, Tartelette reminds me of some bakeries and pastries here in Montreal. Voulez-vous une tartelette de pommes(small apple tarte) ?:D Anyway, let's go back to my review on this palette, I absolutely love this make-up product! I also bought one for my bestfriend as a birthday gift and she only has good things to say about it. Just to give you an idea why I was so excited about this, Urban Decay Naked Basic palettes were on my wish list for a very long time because I really wanted to own a palette with full of matte eye shadows, but I couldn't justify buying a palette that only contains 5 eyeshadows for 35$ (40$ including tax). This palette immediately satisfied my wish of having neutral colored eyeshadows that are comepletely matte. I bought this for 53$ (60$ including tax) and I personally think that this is really worth the price even though it slightly annoys me that Canadian prices on make-up products are ridiculously higher than the prices in the US, this palette only cost $43 in the States. :( Now that I have this palette, I don`t see the point of buying the Urbay Decay Basic palettes anymore! This palette contains 12 matte eyeshadows, with a mix of cool, neutral and warm tones. Can it get any better than that? The formula of these eyeshadows are really good quality. Even though they are all matte, I didn't find any of them powdery (take note that I also used eyeshadow primer prior to putting them on my eyelids) and they are all incredibly pigmented. What I appreciate the most about this palette is that, I can incorporate the matte eyeshadows with my shimmery eyeshadows because so many of the eyeshadows in this palette can act as a transition colour! I am really loving Tarte's cosmetics the quality of their make-up products are exceptional. I can't wait to try more things from the brand.
