February Beauty Round Up

Can you believe that we're already in March? Oh well, life has been pretty good so far, life problems are still manageable. My make-up shopping habits has been good too, no random buying of make-up last month! I've been good when it comes to buying beauty products because most of my money these past two months of the year went to another section of things I love, clothing and accessories.:D I only bought one make-up product in February which I will talk about on my next blog's post.
I was satisfied of just using make-up products that are already in my collection. So in today's post, I want to share what I've mostly used in the previous month.  Let's start with my Laura Mercier Artist Eyeshadow Palette. I'm sorry but you can't get your hands on this palette anymore. This was a limited edition from 2013 LM's Holiday collection. Some of these eyeshadows are in their permanent range of products. Make sure to check them out in the store, e.g Sephora, because these eyeshadows are really great! What I love the most about this palette is the mixture of cool and warm tones. There are more matte eyeshadows in the palette unlike in the Urban Decay Naked palettes which have so many shimmery eyeshadows. The textures of these eyeshadows are also soft and blendable. Laura Mercier surely makes high quality products!

Next are my MAC lipsticks in the shades of  "Velvet Teddy" and "Up the Amp". Read my post about Velvet Teddy here . This lipstick became such a favourite of mine right after buying it. Another lipstick I currently love is "Up the Amp". It has this gorgeous pinky purple color. If you are afraid to try "Heroine" from Mac,"Up the amp" will be like your "babystep" towards wearing darker purple lipsticks. I'm still not comfortable wearing bold colours on my lips. Here's my trick, I  blot my lips with a tissue paper after putting this lipsticks on and this makes the colour less intense. This has an amplified finish which is one of my favourite liptick's formulas from MAC.  It's not drying and it feels comfortable on the lips.

I mostly used my MAC's "Warm Soul" blush last month. I like to pair it with my  "Up the Amp" lipstick. Warm soul is a mineralize blush and it gives the prettiest sheen on the cheeks. This blush goes well with any eye-makeup because the colour of this blush is somewhat close to neutral. "Warm soul" can absolutely give you that beautiful bronzed-rosy glow. And ofcourse to achieve a more radiating look, MAC's Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle is the perfect highlighter to use. It became  such a favourite of mine ever since I got it in 2013. I don't think I will ever hit pan on this awesome thing that makes my face looks quite luminous because there's still so much products left.

Here's me wearing these products mentioned above except for Mac's Velvet Teddy lipstick.. It's pretty sad that I can't capture the blush colour on my cheeks with my camera. I really wonder how other bloggers have such amazing photos. I really need to do more research about photography.

Have a nice weekend guys. I can finally enjoy my weekend because midterms are over. Yay!
